Is the monthly fee really the whole bill — no per-order commission?
Yes. The plan you pick is the whole Calode bill. There is no marketplace cut on orders, no per-channel surcharge, no surprise line item at month-end. The only thing billed separately is card processing through Stripe, at the standard per-transaction rate.
How does card processing pricing work — does Calode add a cut on top?
No. Calode does not add a cut on top of card processing. Payments run through Stripe at its standard per-transaction rate (around 2.6% + a few cents in the US, similar in most markets), and funds land in your bank on Stripe's standard payout schedule for your country (often within a week).
Are there setup fees, hidden onboarding charges, or implementation costs?
No. Onboarding is included in every plan — menu input, site build, domain pointing, payments connection, and the kitchen test before go-live. The first invoice is the first month of your plan, not a setup fee.
Can I cancel any time? What is the contract?
Month-to-month. Cancel any time from the dashboard — no long-term contract, no cancellation fee. Your customer list, order history, and menu all export as CSV at cancellation, so you take everything with you.
Can I move between plans (upgrade or downgrade)?
Yes. Move between plans whenever it makes sense — opening a new location, adding the AI receptionist, scaling back for a slow season. Changes take effect on the next billing cycle, prorated where it makes sense.
I run multiple restaurants — how is multi-location pricing structured?
The Scale plan is a per-location monthly fee with volume pricing — the more shops, the lower the per-location rate. Book a demo and we will quote based on shop count and order volume; group-level features (roll-up reporting, role permissions, unified loyalty) are included.
Do you offer a free trial?
No self-serve free trial — every Calode setup is onboarded by a real person on our team, not a wizard. The demo call is the place to see Calode running on your own restaurant's menu, with no commitment to continue. If it does not fit your operation, we say so.
