FAQ

QR ordering, answered.

Do guests have to download an app to order from the QR code?
No. They point their phone camera at the QR code, tap the link, and the full menu opens in their browser. No App Store, no install, no account required to place an order.
How are the QR codes made and printed?
You print one QR per table from the Tables page in the dashboard — sized for table tents or stickers. We walk through the format with you during onboarding. You can regenerate codes any time when you add tables, change layout, or need spares.
Will guests need our Wi-Fi for it to work?
No. The menu loads over the guest's own mobile data, so a flaky restaurant Wi-Fi network does not block ordering. Offering Wi-Fi is still a nice gesture for guests with weak signal, but it is not required.
Can the dine-in menu be different from the takeout menu?
Yes. You can run one menu across every channel, or keep a slimmer takeout menu that omits dishes that do not travel well. The QR ordering at the table can also hide items that are only available for pickup (and vice versa) — you set the rules per item.
Where do tips and service charges land?
Guests are prompted to add a tip on the payment screen. Tips appear on the order so end-of-shift reconciliation is clean. Set the default tip suggestions in the dashboard.
Can I 86 an item or change a price live during service?
Yes. The menu is editable in real time — flip an item to sold-out in the dashboard and it disappears from the QR menu within seconds. Same for price tweaks, modifier additions, or pulling something off the late-night menu.
